LightMAT

We are pleased to inform you that the abstract submission for LightMAT 2021  is open till the 1 May 2021. Further information

This year’s LightMAT topics are:

  • A - Processing and Additive Manufacturing
  • B - Applications and performance
  • C - Alloy Development
  • D - Joining and Multi-material designs
  • E - Characterization and testing
  • F - Computational materials design and engineering
  • LF - Special Topic – Eco-Efficiency in Materials and Processes

Together with the German Materials Society (DGM), the organizer of the LightMAT conference series, we have considered several options for the realization of this year’s LightMAT and, due to the ongoing global situation and unforeseeable developments, we have decided to hold the event virtually.

DGM has a professional, easy-to-use platform for virtual conferences, which enables us to keep the knowledge transfer and exchange alive with all the advantages of a digital format, such as easy accessibility, lower carbon footprint, lower participation fees, ….

The LightMAT conference will be an online-live event, taking into account the different time zones of the international audience. The presentations can be joined live or watched via time-shifted and on-demand services. To this end, all presentations are accessible up to two weeks after the event. You won't miss any presentations. A virtual poster session with an extensive presentation and network opportunities, as well as a virtual exhibition, complete the program of this year’s LightMAT.

In addition, we are pleased to cooperate again with the magazine "Metals" which will offer a Special Issue on LightMAT 2021. More information will be available soon on.

We are very much looking forward to your abstract submission to LightMAT 2021 and to welcoming you (virtually) this year.
