Prof. Dr. Jianguo Lin

We are delighted to have Prof. Dr. Jianguo Lin at the LightMAT Conference 2023. With his expertise in Metal forming, Materials and Process Modelling, Professor Lin has made a significant impact in the field of materials science.

He joined Imperial College London from the University of Birmingham in 2008 and established a Metal-forming and Materials Modelling Group at Imperial. Under his leadership, the Group has created three research centres and two joint research labs fully funded by industry and has built an international reputation for developing new metal-forming processes, multiscale materials and process modelling theories. Mr. Lin has published over 300 research papers in refereed international journals and holds over 20 patents. Resulting of his patented techniques he founded the three following companies: Impression Technologies Ltd, CurvEx Technology Ltd and Multi-X Solutions.
