From 13 to 15 February 2023, the advanced training course on "Drawing of Wires and Tubes" was held, led by Prof. Dr. Palkowski, Head of the Chair "Material Forming" in the Institute of Metallurgy at Clausthal University of Technology. Due to the high demand and interest in professional qualifications, the participant limit was raised slightly this year.

During the three-day event, fifteen participants from industry and research met in person on-site to deepen and expand their theoretical knowledge in tube and wire production and processing - starting with material science issues and ending with basic forming technology knowledge. Lecturers from business and industry imparted the knowledge in a practical manner. An information block on tribology in drawing metallic materials and drawing drawn profiles rounded off the specialist event. At the discussion and social evening, the participants and lecturers exchanged interdisciplinary views in a relaxed atmosphere. The opportunity to meet again in person two years in a row after Corona was very well received by all participants.
