On Wednesday, 25 September 2024, the Women@DGM Lunch will take place from 12:30 pm to 02:10 pm at the Technical University of Darmstadt in the lounge (or online). Participation in the event is free of charge and will be held in English.
Program and main topics:
1. Impulse Pitch by Prof. Gertraud (Turu) Stadler (Charité Berlin)
- Topic: Gender research in medicine - an overview of the current status with examples from drug development and medical treatments.
- Discussion: What can we learn from this for materials science and materials engineering?
2. Pitch by Prof. Gesa Beck (Berlin University of Applied Sciences & ABCircular)
- Topic: Gender dimensions and occupational safety using the example of the CLASCO project.
- Workshop: Understanding organizational structures in funded projects. Participants will explore the complexities of formal and informal organizational structures in EU-funded companies and projects. The aim of the workshop is to identify the most relevant issues for the field and to develop specific recommendations for action to improve project work.
3. Pitch by Prof. Gesa Beck (Berlin University of Applied Sciences & ABCircular)
- Topic: EU project monitoring and gender issues.
- Workshop: Experiences in working environments. In this workshop, the focus is on collecting and analyzing personal experiences of the participants in different working environments. The aim is to collect key points and develop actionable recommendations to improve working conditions and create a supportive and equitable workplace for all.
