Hybrid 2025: The Leading Event for Hybrid Materials and Structures

From 9 – 10 April 2025, the 6ᵗʰ International Conference on Hybrid Materials and Structures will take place in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, and online. The conference will provide a platform for experts from academia and industry to discuss the latest developments in hybrid materials. Organized in collaboration with Delft University of Technology, the event promises to showcase the latest innovations.

As a hybrid event, the Hybrid 2025 conference will be accessible both on site in Noordwijk and online. With Delft University of Technology as a partner institution, the conference will offer in-depth insights into the world of hybrid materials and structures, from basic materials to innovative design and manufacturing processes. Such combinations of materials are often crucial for the development of new technologies and products, but also pose particular challenges - especially in areas such as joining processes and design principles.

The program committee, chaired by Dr. René C. Alderliesten of Delft University of Technology, is made up of leading experts in the field of hybrid materials. Members of the committee include Prof. Dr. Joachim M. Hausmann from the Leibniz Institute for Composite Materials GmbH, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Axel von Hehl from the University of Siegen and Prof. Dr. Kay André Weidenmann from the University of Augsburg.

The conference offers young scientists in particular the opportunity to present their research findings to an international audience. The deadline for submitting abstracts is still open until 09 October 2024. Take advantage of this opportunity to expand your knowledge and make valuable contacts.

Hybrid 2025 will take place at the renowned Space Expo Museum in Noordwijk, the technical heart of the European Space Agency (ESA). The venue not only offers an impressive backdrop, but also numerous interactive space-related exhibitions. Participants will have the opportunity to visit a real Soyuz capsule, touch a meteorite and walk through a model of the International Space Station (ISS).

We look forward to welcoming you on 09 and 10 April 2025 in Noordwijk or online! Join us and experience the future of hybrid materials.
