A Forward-Looking Topic for the Region
The transformation in the steel sector means that significant changes are imminent in Saarland. At the same time, regional companies are increasingly turning their attention to innovative drive technologies, in which hydrogen and the crucial materials play a central role. 

The Saar Regional Forum offers the opportunity to examine these challenges and opportunities from two perspectives: industry and science. 

Tandem Lectures – Science Meets Industry 

• Industry perspective: Dr. Udo Engelmann (Business Development Team, HYDAC New Technologies GmbH) who will talk about technologies for the sustainable reduction of CO2 emissions for on- and off-road applications. 
• Science perspective: Dr.-Ing. Florian Schäfer (Saarland University), who will provide exciting insights into hydrogen effects in materials. 

Insights and Networking
In addition to the technical presentations, you can expect: 

• A company and institute exhibition 
• Poster session: presentation of student theses with an award ceremony by the DGM for the best posters 

The event offers you as a participant from industry, science and the interested public not only the opportunity to exchange ideas, but also valuable opportunities for networking.
