For a quarter of a century, the "Composites and Composite Materials" symposium has been a fixture in materials science and engineering. The 25th edition of the conference will bring together experts from science, research and industry to discuss new developments in a field that plays a key role in numerous future technologies – from lightweight construction and medical technology to recycling management.
The event will take place at the Chemnitz University of Technology from 11 to 13 March 2026 and will also be offered as an online symposium. The hybrid format will allow the event to remain both internationally connected and locally rooted.
Call for Abstracts
Researchers from all areas of composite materials are invited to submit their contributions by 31 August 2025. Work that demonstrates innovative approaches or enables transfer to applications is particularly welcome. Contributions from related disciplines such as digitization, modeling, or sustainability research are also strongly encouraged.
The symposium offers not only a platform for scientific exchange, but also a variety of networking opportunities - on site in Chemnitz or digitally. Whether you are an experienced expert or a young researcher: Participation provides insight into current developments and encourages discussion about future challenges and solutions.
We look forward to your contributions and exchanges during this anniversary celebration!
