Experts in Dialogue: The BioINSP 2026 Program Committee Is Shaping the Future of Bio-Inspired Materials

The 8th International School and Conference on Biological Materials Science (BioINSP) will bring together leading minds in bio-inspired materials research in Siegburg from 04 – 06 March 2026. At the heart of the event is a dedicated program committee that draws on interdisciplinary expertise and scientific curiosity to shape the technical framework of the conference and invite innovative contributions.

The program committee of BioINSP is more than just an organizational body: it is an active hub for scientific collaboration. Researchers from various disciplines work together here to translate biological principles into sustainable material solutions. From hierarchical structures to adaptive systems and sustainable applications, the content of the conference reflects the diversity of current research approaches.

The aim is to promote scientific exchange that thinks across disciplines and remains application-oriented. The committee brings together comprehensive expertise from biology, chemistry, physics, materials science, and engineering. This interdisciplinary perspective enables the conference to pick up on current trends, provide new impetus, and put together a challenging and varied program.

Call for Abstracts Open Until August
The program committee is currently calling for abstract submissions. We are looking for contributions that show how strategies from nature can lead to innovative material concepts. The call for abstracts for presentations is open until 26 August 2025.

Participation in the conference is also worthwhile – whether on site in Siegburg or online as part of the hybrid format. If you would like to follow the program live or on demand, you should secure your ticket in good time.
