Science thrives on dialogue – and that doesn't just happen on stage. NextGen Materials 2025 creates dedicated spaces for personal exchange and interdisciplinary discussions – open, collegial, and with real added value for researchers and experts from industry and science.
From Idea to Conversation – Poster Sessions
On Wednesday, 24 September, two poster sessions will offer the opportunity to learn about current research in a direct exchange. Young scientists, established experts, and interested parties can easily strike up conversations here. The atmosphere is deliberately informal – the focus is on discussion and networking.
The deadline for poster submissions is September 10!
Evening Exchange on the Elbe – Conference Dinner
A fixed part of the conference is the joint Conference Dinner on Thursday evening at the Elbspeicher in Hamburg. Starting at 7:00 p.m., the northern German backdrop meets an informal atmosphere for conversation. The dinner is the ideal setting to continue thinking about conference ideas or to make new contacts – away from the day's program, but with scientific depth. A separate ticket is required to attend.
Small Format, Big Topics – Industry Workshop on Programmable Materials
The workshop “Programmable materials in application – potentials and hurdles” focuses on interactive exchange. In small groups, participants discuss the potential of programmable materials – from adaptable structures to sustainable applications. The aim is to have an open discussion about opportunities, challenges, and possible industrial applications.
Be There – In Person or Online
NextGen Materials brings people together – live in Hamburg and digitally connected. Participants benefit not only from the program, but also from active exchange with colleagues. While the atmosphere on site encourages spontaneous conversations, the digital format also offers space for interaction.
Secure your ticket now and be there – from September 23 to 25, 2025, in Hamburg or online.
