Additive 2026 has unveiled the four plenary speakers who will frame the scientific and industrial discourse at next year’s symposium. The lineup reflects the breadth of additive manufacturing research and application, bringing together expertise from academia, applied research, and industrial innovation.
Dr. Florian Eibl, managing director of Aconity3D GmbH in Herzogenrath, will offer insights shaped by his experience developing high-end additive manufacturing systems for metals. Prof. Dr. Jens Günster from the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM), Berlin, contributes his extensive research on ceramics and process technologies for additive manufacturing. From the United States, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Karaman of Texas A&M University, College of Engineering, adds his internationally recognized perspective on advanced materials and their design for additive processes. Rounding out the plenary sessions, Dr. Christoph Kiener of Siemens AG, Munich, will share industrial perspectives on integrating additive manufacturing into complex production ecosystems.
Beyond the plenary talks, Additive 2026 offers ample opportunity for participants to present their own research and connect with peers. Abstract submissions are open until 01 September 2025 providing a platform for presenting new findings, engaging directly with leaders in the field, and shaping the symposium dialogue. Contributions are welcome from both academia and industry, covering the full spectrum of materials, processes, applications, and digitalization in additive manufacturing.
The symposium also invites companies to showcase their expertise. Around 150 on-site participants in Kassel and additional virtual attendees provide a focused audience for exhibitors and sponsors. Exhibition booths are positioned in the catering area for maximum visibility and include a live pitch in the program, access to the full participant list, and participation in all symposium activities, including the social evening. Sponsorship opportunities extend visibility even further, with options for branded materials, digital exposure, and exclusive placements.
Additive 2026 takes place from 24 to 26 March 2026, offering both in-person and virtual participation. Details on abstract submission, exhibition booking, and sponsorship options are available on the symposium website.
