Technical Focus
The 59th Metallography Conference will cover a wide range of current topics in materialography. The focus is on new developments in preparation techniques for different material classes, the microscopic characterization of diverse material structures, and advances in digital image processing and quantitative microstructure analysis. These topics are complemented by contributions on AI-supported methods, tomography and 3D microstructure analysis, as well as applications in research, quality assurance, and damage analysis. Another focus is on the materialography of additively manufactured materials, which is becoming increasingly important in science and industry.
Exchange and Networking
In addition to the scientific program, the conference offers numerous opportunities for personal exchange. Anyone who has attended previous metallography conferences knows how valuable these meetings are, both professionally and in terms of collegiality. In 2025, participants can once again look forward to a varied supporting program and a lively culture of discussion. For example, at the social evening or the company tours on Wednesday morning.
Contributions and Participation
The conference organizers expressly encourage submitting your own contributions and actively participating in the exchange of experiences. Abstracts can be submitted until 01 October 2025. Registration for participation is also still possible, giving interested parties the opportunity to secure their place at the conference in good time.
