Magnet Days 2026: The Future of Magnetics in Materials Science and Engineering

Magnet Days 2026 offers an interdisciplinary forum for exchange between science, research, and industry in the field of magnetics in materials science and engineering. The aim of the event is to discuss current scientific findings, technological developments, and industrial applications and to provide impetus for future research and innovation.

Magnet Days will take place from 03 to 05 March 2026, at Aalen University. It is aimed at researchers, industry representatives, and young scientists who are involved in the latest developments and challenges in the field of magnetics.

The first day of the event is dedicated to professional training organized by the DGM Academy. This training offers the opportunity to deepen specialist knowledge in a targeted manner and expand practice-oriented skills. Young scientists in particular benefit from this offer, which is a valuable addition to their scientific qualifications.

The second day is dedicated to the scientific conference. Plenary lectures by renowned experts will provide insights into current research topics. The contributions cover a broad spectrum – from the fundamental physical mechanisms of magnetic materials to their application in modern material systems and technologies.

Accompanying discussion rounds and networking formats will promote interdisciplinary exchange and the initiation of new collaborations. The Magnet Days thus create a platform that systematically combines scientific progress and industrial knowledge transfer in magnetics.

The German Society for Materials Science (DGM) invites all interested parties to actively shape the future of magnetics in materials science and engineering.
