Welcome to the "4th European Symposium on Superalloys and their Applications" from 18 - 22 September 2022 in Bamberg & online.
Scope

The 4th European Symposium on Superalloys and their Applications aims to highlight the progress in the field of Ni- and Co-based superalloys and related materials.

Papers from academia and industry are invited on all topics covering the area of superalloy research asfor example alloy development, processing effects, mechanical behavior and microstructural investigations, coatings and environmental impact. The symposium will highlight technologies that also improve manufacturability by additive processing, repair/refurbishment, life prediction, and performance of superalloys. Papers are especially welcome also on sustainability and life cycle assessment, materials selection by digital data analysis and artificial intelligence, materials modelling and simulation, and new nanomechanical and in-situ testing approaches.

The EuroSuperalloys 2022 follows the very successful symposium, which took place in Wildbad Kreuth, Germany (2010), Giens, France (2014), and Oxford, UK (2018).

An honorary symposium "Insights into superalloys with electron microscopy" will be organized for Prof. Catherine M.F. Rae, University of Cambridge, UK, to honor her outstanding scientific contributions on superalloys' microstructure and deformation mechanisms and her long-lasting support of the superalloy community.
