LightMAT 2021
Abstract Submission

The organizers invite the LightMAT community to submit abstracts for lectures and posters related to the conference topics. Especially young scientists are encouraged to contribute to the conference.

For the submission of an abstract, no booking is necessary until a contribution is confirmed. A participant may book a ticket early to use one of the offered discounts. The invoice must then be paid within the dedicated time. If an abstract is rejected, the participant is entitled to a refund.

Abstract submission for Lectures and Posters is still possible

Two possibilities for an abstract submission:

  • Lecture (15 min)
  • Poster (3 min oral presentation. Based on the number of posters submitted, a decision will be made after the submission deadline whether there will be a live poster session, or whether each author can upload a short video presentation in addition to their poster, introducing their poster. The videos will then be presented together with the poster in the poster area of the virtual platform.)

Only an abstract, written in English, of no more than 300 words is required for the abstract submission. The presentation // poster as jpg // short paper // video presentation must be completed and uploaded to the system shortly before the event.

There are two types of contributions you can submit:

  • Format of your presentation (lecture or oral poster presentation) in 16:9 format and

  • Format of posters in portrait format, size A0. As a file format, we recommend JPG. The maximum size must not exceed 25 MB.

  • Each author has the opportunity to submit a short paper for his or her contribution. To create the paper, please use the template, which you can download below, and follow the instructions included. The short papers will be published at LightMAT 2021. Each author who submits a short paper agrees to its publication in the context of LightMAT 2021.
  • The short paper can also be submitted after the deadline for abstract submission and acceptance of your contribution.
  • The deadline for submission of the short paper is the 4 October 2021.
