Lecture presentation

• Presentation (PowerPoint or PDF) format preferrable in 16:9.
• The time for a lecture presentation is 20 minutes (incl. Q&A)
• On-site presentations: Please bring your presentation on a USB stick. No personal equipment can be used to present.
  • Important information for presentation on-site: Since you will be giving your presentation on-site using a presentation computer provided by us, we ask you to use only standard fonts such as Arial, Geneva, Helvetic or Lucida Sans in your presentation. Otherwise, we cannot exclude the possibility of unintentional text displacement in your presentation on the presentation computer.

    Alternatively, we ask you to embed the individual font you use in your PowerPoint presentation

• Online presentations: Login to our event-plattform and use your equiment (computer, webcam, microphone or headset (preferred)). Presentations don't need to be uploaded in advance. In case of a weak internet connection, you can send us a video of your presentation in advance, which we will then play at the specified times.
• MSE 2022 is a live event. We will try to schedule all presentations accordingly to ensure that the respective author can give the presentation live in their time zone.
• We will offer several test sessions before the event, where you can test the screen, microphone, and camera sharing with our technicians to avoid any problems during the event. You will be informed about these dates in time.

Poster presentations

• Please prepare your poster in portrait format, size DIN A0.
• Please also prepare a JPG of the poster for the virtual poster hall and upload the final graphic by 21. September 2022. Use the "Abstract Management System" to upload your poster. The maximum size must not exceed 25 MB.
• On-site poster presentations: Please bring your printed poster in DIN A0 format.
• Please perpare your oral poster presentation according to the guidelines of a lecture presentation. Time for an oral poster presentation is just 3 minutes (no Q&A).
• We offer the possibility to upload a prerecorded poster-pitch-video which will be accessable via the event-platform. The video must be in .mp4 format and must not exceed the maximum size of 150 MB. For a program to convert the video to .mp4 or reduce the file size, we recommend "Handbrake".
