Welcome to the "1st Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Materials Science and Engineering - AIMSE 2023" FROM 22 - 23 November 2023 in Saarbrücken & online.
Scope

The First Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Material Science and Engineering (AI MSE 2023) is an interdisciplinary conference that brings together leading researchers to share their experiences and research results in materials science, materials engineering, and data science. It provides a premier platform for practitioners to discuss the most recent innovations, trends, practical challenges encountered, and solutions adopted in developing and applying Artificial Intelligence for material science and engineering. Organized by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Materialkunde (DGM), the conference will be held on 22-23 November 2023, in the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence, in Saarbrücken, Germany.

We invite submissions presenting new and original research on all topics of artificial intelligence in material science and engineering, including, but not limited to:

  • Microstructure characterization and reconstruction, for example, image-based methods.
  • Properties/microstructure prediction, for example, Machine Learning in atomistic simulations and Machine Learning on continuum simulations.
  • Materials Discovery.

We also offer a track with emerging technologies. Here, we invite submissions on technologies from data science that are not yet widely used in material science and engineering but might become important in the future. Examples include:

  • Neuro-Symbolic Machine Learning, for example, Physics Informed Neural Networks and Neural ODEs.
  • Natural Language Processing.

We are looking forward to an inspiring conference in an exciting field, buzzing with activity and progress.
