Pure science
Energy absorption, deformation, fracture and fatigue under impact, blast and ballistic loading, from the atomistic scale to the component.
1st International Conference on Materials for Security Technologies · Call for papers open
The first international conference on materials for security technologies. Armour composites, protective ceramics, functional coatings, electromagnetic shielding: the materials science of protection, examined across disciplines.
International Conference
When
11 - 12 May 2027
Where
Dresden
Protection is a materials problem before it is anything else. Armour, blast mitigation, ballistic and electromagnetic shielding all depend on how a material behaves at its limit. MatSecure 2027 brings the researchers, engineers and manufacturers who design, test and field these materials together for two days in Dresden.
Energy absorption, deformation, fracture and fatigue under impact, blast and ballistic loading, from the atomistic scale to the component.
Armour systems, protective structures, personal and vehicle protection, sensing and shielding hardware: what performs in service, what fails, and why.
Present results, compare test methods, and discuss material solutions to the engineering problems of protection.
The material classes, test methods and applications that define the MatSecure 2027 program: impact and blast response, protective ceramics and composites, functional coatings, and electromagnetic shielding.
Every DGM Conference follows a transparent path from submitted abstracts to a curated scientific program. The review and program work is carried by members of the materials community.
Step 01
Researchers worldwide submit lectures and posters.
Step 02
Submissions are evaluated by an scientific committee - experts from across the field.
Step 03
Accepted contributions are arranged into plenaries, lectures, workshops and poster sessions.
