WELCOME TO THE "2nd CONFERENCE ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN MATERIALS SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING - AIMSE 2025" FROM 18 - 19 NOVEMBER 2025 IN BOCHUM & ONLINE.
Scope

The Second Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Material Science and Engineering (AI MSE 2025) is an interdisciplinary conference that brings together leading researchers to share their experiences and research results in materials science, materials engineering, and data science.

It provides a premier platform for practitioners to discuss the most recent innovations, trends, practical challenges encountered, and solutions adopted in developing and applying Artificial Intelligence for material science and engineering. Organized by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Materialkunde (DGM), the conference will be held on 18 - 19 November 2025, at Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany.

We invite submissions presenting new and original research on all topics of artificial intelligence in material science and engineering, including, but not limited to:

  • Microstructure characterization and reconstruction, for example, image-based methods.
  • Properties/microstructure prediction, for example, Machine Learning in atomistic simulations and Machine Learning on continuum simulations.
  • Materials Discovery.
  • Natural Language Processing, Text Mining and Large Language Models.

We also offer a track with emerging technologies. Here, we invite submissions on technologies from data science that are not yet widely used in material science and engineering but might become important in the future.

We are looking forward to an inspiring conference in an exciting field, buzzing with activity and progress.

  • Prof. Dr.

    Markus Stricker

    Ruhr University Bochum
