Accurate and efficient characterization of steel microstructures is essential for alloy development, failure analysis, and quality control. However, traditional SEM-EDS workflows are often slow, manual, and fragmented, limiting throughput and reproducibility. This webinar offers a detailed technical overview of the Axia™ ChemiSEM™ system, an integrated SEM-EDS platform that delivers real-time materials characterization through live quantitative elemental mapping and simultaneous secondary and backscattered electron imaging. These capabilities enable rapid differentiation of phases, inclusions, and compositional variations in complex steels—without interrupting acquisition. A case study using Perception Steel software will demonstrate how automated particle detection, feature classification, and statistical reporting further streamline analysis.
