The focus of the 2nd DisoMAT 2023 conference will be on disordered materials in optics and photonics.
Submission deadline: 01 February 2023
We are thrilled to announce that our conference will be held at the historic Benedictine Abbey of Plankstetten. Founded in 1129, this beautiful abbey has served as a spiritual, cultural, and economic center for the region for centuries.
In 1994, the monastic community at Plankstetten made the decision to transition to organic farming, following the guidelines set by Bioland. Today, the monastery estate on the Staudenhof is a well-known demonstration farm for organic-biological farming practices. At the abbey, guests can enjoy delicious and healthy food of organic quality produced by the monastery's agriculture and market gardens, bakery, and butchery.
Within the striking monastery complex, the guest house, which features a characteristic corner tower, has been a popular destination for meetings and events for over 25 years. We are excited for attendees to experience the unique atmosphere and history of this special venue.
