1.1 Topics

MSE 2022 is segmented into the following 6 Topics:

  • B: Biomaterials
  • C: Characterization
  • F: Functional Materials, Surfaces and Devices
  • I: Circular Materials
  • M: Modelling and Simulation
  • P: Processing and Synthesis

1.2. Symposia

The topics are divided into symposia which are announced in the Call for Abstracts (CfA). If the criteria for the sustainability of symposia are not fulfilled by the deadline of the CfA, they will be merged with other symposia or canceled. The Topic Coordinators will do this. A functioning symposium must have at least three full oral sessions. This means that, by the end of the deadline, there must be at least 12 oral presentations (without contributions that have been classified as posters) to meet the feasibility criteria.

1.3 Sessions

A session comprises the contributions from one coffee break to another coffee break. There will be no change of Topic or Symposium within a session.

1.4 Session Chairs

A session chair must lead every session. The Symposium Organizers need to identify and organize the Session Chairs for their Symposium until 1 July 2022. The Organizers could chair a session as well.
