Industry and Research in Practice

Excursions

As part of ICAA 20, a series of technical excursions will be offered alongside the scientific conference programme. These excursions comprise guided visits to industrial production sites and leading research institutes in and around Berlin, providing participants with direct insight into current industrial practice and applied research in the field of aluminium alloys. Complementing the conference’s strong focus on fundamental mechanisms, advanced characterization methods, process metallurgy and emerging technologies, the excursions are designed to strengthen the dialogue between academia and industry and to illustrate how scientific developments are translated into technological applications. They thus reflect the core objective of the ICAA conference series. Namely to foster exchange, mutual understanding and long-term collaboration between scientific research and industrial innovation in aluminium science and engineering.
