Abstract submission for LightMAT 2027 is open through the DGM Abstract Management System (AMS). Prepare your topic, contribution format, author data and a short abstract before you start.

Each abstract is assigned to one conference topic and one contribution format. Early-career researchers are especially encouraged to submit.

Lecture
17-minute talk + 3-minute Q&A in a thematic session.

Poster pitch
Short plenary teaser (3 min short presentation) followed by discussion at your poster board.

Poster
Standard poster in a dedicated session. Poster awards will be handed out.

Add the title, short abstract, and all author affiliations.

Indicate on-site or virtual attendance
Conference is on-site & online. Tell us whether you plan to travel to Siegen (Germany) or attend online.

Submit and wait for review
The scientific committee reviews every submission.

Upload final files after acceptance
After acceptance, register and upload the final abstract PDF, slides or poster in the same portal.

| Notification of Acceptance | September - October 2026 | Authors will be notified about the acceptance of their submitted abstracts and the assigned presentation format. Presenting authors whose contributions have been accepted must complete their conference registration within three weeks of receiving the acceptance notification. At least one presenting author per accepted contribution must register within this period to confirm that the contribution will be included in the conference program. |
| Publication of the Preliminary Program | September - October 2026 | Take a first look at the preliminary scientific program of LightMAT 2027. |
| Publication of the Final Program | January 2027 | The final scientific program of LightMAT 2027 will be published. |
| Opening of the Event Platform | 03 Mar 2027 | The event platform will open on this date. The platform runs in modern browsers. A link to the platform will be published on the event website approximately one week before the event begins. Participants and authors can log in to their personal user account to familiarize themselves with the platform and connect with other participants before the event. The Zoom links for the sessions will appear on the day of each session. |
