Science
New magnetic materials, microstructure and magnetism, simulation and characterization, from basic research through to application.
Meet Experts, Discuss Trends
Three days on permanent magnets: materials, manufacturing, characterization, applications and recycling. A training course, technical talks and open exchange at Hochschule Pforzheim.
When
02 - 04 Mar 2027
Where
Pforzheim
Permanent magnets decide how efficiently drives, generators and sensors work. The Magnet Days 2027 brings research, industry and universities together, from the fundamentals of magnetic materials through to manufacturing, testing and recycling.
New magnetic materials, microstructure and magnetism, simulation and characterization, from basic research through to application.
Manufacturing, quality assurance and design in service: what magnetic materials have to deliver in a drive, a generator or a sensor.
Present results, compare methods and share experience from the lab and the production line, across disciplines and institutions.
From alloy development and sintering and forming processes through to characterization, application and recycling: the focus areas in the Magnet Days 2027 program.
Every DGM Conference follows a clear path from the submitted contributions to the finished program. Review and program work are in the hands of the Expert Panel Permanent Magnets.
Step 01
Researchers submit talks, posters and workshop proposals.
Step 02
A program committee of magnetic-materials specialists reviews every submission.
Step 03
Accepted contributions are arranged into plenary talks, technical talks, workshops and poster sessions.
Carried by the DGM network
Talks, posters and the exhibition all happen under one roof at Hochschule Pforzheim. The campus is on Tiefenbronner Straße, about two kilometers south-west of the main station and reachable by city bus.
