Pforzheim: the Goldstadt on the edge of the Black Forest
Hochschule Pforzheim hosts the Magnet Days 2027. Talks, posters and the accompanying exhibition all take place on the campus on Tiefenbronner Straße.

How to reach Pforzheim
Pforzheim lies at the northern edge of the Black Forest, where the Enz, Nagold and Würm meet. The city has been a center of the German jewellery and watchmaking industry since the 18th century and still combines precision manufacturing with materials expertise. Hochschule Pforzheim brings engineering, business and design together on one site.
By train
Via Pforzheim Hauptbahnhof on the Karlsruhe–Stuttgart line, served by RE and IC trains. Then bus 5 towards Hochschule/Wildpark to the stop of the same name. The DB Event Ticket applies.
By plane
Nearest airports: Stuttgart (STR) and Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden (FKB). Both connect to Pforzheim by public transport in roughly one to one and a half hours.
By car
On the A8 between Karlsruhe and Stuttgart, exit Pforzheim West or Pforzheim Süd, destination Tiefenbronner Straße 65. Parking at the university is limited, so allow a little time.
Around Pforzheim
Bus 5 links the main station with the Hochschule/Wildpark stop right at the campus. Most hotels in the center are a few minutes away by bus.
Pforzheim, jewellery city and university town
Pforzheim has hotels in every price range, many of them in the center and a few minutes by bus from the lecture building. Book early: demand around 02 - 04 Mar 2027 will be high.

A few hours in Pforzheim
Travelling to a conference is also a chance to see the city. These are worth the detour before or after the program.
Schmuckmuseum Pforzheim
The only museum in the world devoted entirely to jewellery: some 2,000 pieces from antiquity to the present, in the Reuchlinhaus in the city park.
Gasometer Pforzheim
A former gas holder that now houses a 360-degree panorama. From the viewing platform the image wraps all the way around you.
Wildpark Pforzheim
Right next to the campus, at the same bus stop. Native animals in large enclosures, and admission is free.
