Welcome

The Joint European Magnetic Symposia (JEMS) is the leading and most comprehensive conference on magnetism in Europe. It serves as a platform for researchers, industry professionals, and students to explore the latest advancements in fundamental and applied magnetism. JEMS covers a broad spectrum of topics, including novel magnetic materials and their applications.

We are excited to invite you to JEMS 2025, which will take place from August 24 to 29, 2025, in a hybrid format—allowing participants to join onsite in Frankfurt, Germany, or online. The conference will feature plenary, semi-plenary, and contributed talks, as well as poster sessions showcasing cutting-edge research. Renowned invited speakers will present significant breakthroughs in the field, making this an unmissable event for both established scientists and young researchers.

JEMS 2025 is chaired by Prof. Oliver Gutfleisch from the Dep. of Functional Materials at TU Darmstadt and runs under the umbrella of the European Magnetism Association (EMA) and with the support of the Rhine-Main-Universities (RMU) alliance.

The venue for JEMS 2025 is the Westend Campus of Goethe University Frankfurt, an exceptional location known for its park-like setting, historic architecture, and state-of-the-art lecture halls. The campus offers a welcoming atmosphere, complete with cafés, restaurants, and even a beer garden, providing the perfect environment for scientific exchange and networking.

We look forward to welcoming you to Frankfurt—a dynamic city that blends history, culture, and modern innovation. Whether you attend in person or online, JEMS 2025 promises to be an inspiring and engaging event for the global magnetism community.
