General conditions

for the exhibition on-site

  1. The areas and objects provided for exhibition purposes are to be used exclusively for the agreed purpose and in the usual manner. In particular, orderliness, cleanliness, and care must be ensured during use. The instructions and directions of the responsible persons of DGM-Inventum GmbH and the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum must be followed.
  2. The exhibition areas will be provided in a clean condition and must be returned by the exhibitor in a swept clean condition after the event. The exhibitor must dispose of all garbage, packaging, and advertising materials.
  3. In connection with the set-up and dismantling periods, the times for delivery and removal are bindingly regulated as follows:
    Delivery: 6 June 2022 from 14:00 to 18:00
    Removal: 10 June 2022 from 15:00 to 18:00

    Set-up: 6 June 2022 from 14:00 to 18:00
    Dismantling: 10 June 2022 from 15:00 to 18:00

  4. Please pay attention to the agreed set-up and dismantling times. A subsequent extension of these times earlier and/or later is impossible.
  5. Advance deliveries are not possible, and all items brought along must be removed from the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum and its grounds immediately after the event.
  6. Vehicles are permitted to stop only for loading and unloading so as not to interfere with ongoing deliveries and removals and avoid unnecessary congestion at the gates and entrances to the exhibition areas. Parking in the numbered spaces (are rented) behind the building is not allowed.
  7. All exhibitors must register at the registration counter upon arrival before starting their set-up work and receive an exhibitor pass. Persons without an exhibitor pass and not the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum employees are to be refused entry.
  8. Please pay attention not to disturb other events and work processes of the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum by arrival, departure, set-up, and dismantling.
  9. The entrance foyer must be kept clear, and transportation in this area must be unloaded as fast as possible.
  10. During assembly and dismantling and the exhibition, please ensure that

    • escape routes are kept clear,
    • emergency exits and signs are not covered,
    • fire alarm equipment and fire extinguishers remain visible and 
    • unobstructed, and power sources, fuse boxes, and distribution boards permit immediate access.
  11. It's not allowed to store packaging material in the foyers, exhibition, and event rooms.
  12. The required escape route widths must be observed at all times..
  13. Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the entire building of the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum. The use of fire and naked lights is strictly prohibited.
  14. It's not allowed to make any changes to the entire fabric of the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum. This means that using the walls, ceilings, pillars, and floors (floors only for regular storage when the prescribed load-bearing capacity of 200 kg/m2 is complied with) as load-bearing, supporting, and retaining elements is strictly forbidden. Point loads are not permitted. This also includes attaching holes, nails, adhesive tapes, and other fastening parts.
  15. The attachment of advertising materials on the walls, doors, and glass surfaces is forbidden.
  16. All booth construction materials used must comply with the fire protection standards according to DIN 4102. The electronic and other equipment used by exhibitors must comply with the relevant regulations, particularly the DIN VDE and UVV VBG 4.
  17. The exhibitors are not allowed to carry out electrical installations under any circumstances.
  18. All valid work, health and fire protection regulations must be observed.
  19. The Deutsche Hygiene-Museum and the organizer accept no liability whatsoever for the exhibitor's objects located or stored on the premises unless it can be proven that employees of the Hygiene-Museum or the organizer acted culpably. The responsibility of proof lies with the exhibitor. It is recommended that insurance against theft, destruction, etc., be taken out.
