CRC 1261 - BIOMAGNETIC SENSING

The general objectives of the Collaborative Research Centre 1261 "Magnetoelectric Sensors: From Composite Materials to Biomagnetic Diagnostics" are the research and development of different magnetoelectric sensor approaches with a special focus on high sensitivity at biomagnetic frequencies and their evaluation and utilization in medically relevant questions. The success of the CRC is based on the intensive interdisciplinary collaboration between materials scientists, electrical engineers, physicists, and physicians (neurology, cardiology, surgery, and gastroenterology). With the conference Networked Matter - Intelligent Materials we anticipate stimulating discussions, international networking opportunities, and the chance to explore synergies between different areas of research and technology.
