Promote interdisciplinary communication between users (medical professionals with practical experience in implant application), manufacturers (of medical implants), and scientists (biologists, materials scientists, physicists, etc.) through biannual meetings at participant sites
Identifying the state of research (scientists), development trends (manufacturers, industry, market researchers), and user needs (medical professionals) through presentations, on-site demonstrations by all participants, and discussion of these issues
Information about funding opportunities for development and research projects, invitation of project sponsors as discussion partners
Initiation of interdisciplinary projects
