Young Talents

In accordance with its statutory mission, the DGM promotes networking among young MatWerk members and with established members of academia and industry. A wide range of opportunities is available for the first career steps at different career levels. The DGM emphasizes the immense importance of materials science and engineering and, above all, the interest of young people in this field.

In the DGM, the Newcomer and Young Talent Committee is committed to the concerns of young MatWerkers and creates optimal conditions for networking and career development in the DGM network. Various working groups are currently working on topics such as the Young Talent Forum 2025 in Saarbrücken, the mentoring programme, a MatWerk game and getting students interested in the DGM network. Everyone is welcome to find out more about the committee and get actively involved. New ideas are always welcome!
