DGM Mentoring Program: The perfect start to your career

  • Gain clarity and orientation: Learn from experts in science and industry about different career paths and how to define your own goals.
  • From lecture hall to working life: Your mentor will help you prepare for the transition into the professional world – from the job search to your first week at work.
  • Network with like-minded people: Connect with experienced mentors and students who share your interests to build your professional network.

How the mentoring program works:

  • Application deadline: 11 January 2026
  • Matching: After receiving your application, we will schedule a short phone interview to learn more about your interests and goals. Based on this conversation, we will select a suitable mentor from the DGM network for you.
  • Program duration: 1 year
  • Kick-off in Frankfurt: Meet your mentoring tandem and the group in person at the kick-off event, which will take place on 10 – 11 April 2026, in Frankfurt am Main.
  • 1:1 meetings: You and your mentor organize your meetings flexibly according to your individual needs β€” you decide on the time, place, and frequency.
  • Group exchange: Regular online meetings for mentors and mentees encourage experience sharing and provide additional inspiration.
  • Support from DGM: We will accompany you throughout the year and are available for any questions that may arise.
  • Final event in person: At the end of the program, all participants will come together once again to share experiences and celebrate achievements.

πŸ—“οΈ Dates: All planned dates can be found under Mentoring 2026.

πŸ’‘ Costs: A personal contribution of up to 100€ per person will be charged for each of the two in-person events.
