From 13 – 14 November 2024, Esslingen a.N. will be the meeting place for creative companies and scientists involved in bionics and the biologization of technology. The Bionics Business Forum is aimed at representatives from business and industry who want to better understand and utilize the potential of bionics for their companies. The Bionics Competence Network (BIOKON) and its partners, the German Society for Materials Science (DGM) and the German Society for Electroplating and Surface Technology (DGO), cordially invite you to attend. 

The forum will kick off on November 13 at 6 p.m. with the presentation of the prestigious Bionik Award for Young Scientists. The following get-together offers an excellent opportunity to network with experts and young professionals from the fields of bionics, bioinspiration and the biologization of technology. 

The main day of the forum, November 14, is all about entrepreneurial exchange. From 9:00 to 12:00, participants will share their experiences and challenges in product development, production, market launch, marketing and image aspects of bionics. The focus will be on how bionics and the biologization of technology can be profitably integrated into companies to promote innovation and accelerate the implementation of bioinspired technologies. 

The program also offers participants the opportunity to get to know each other and network. Field reports and success stories from companies such as Festo, Brose, Synera, Ziehl-Abegg and Airbus illustrate the opportunities that bionics opens for industry. Topics such as generating ideas for new materials, sustainability, CO2 savings and climate neutrality will be discussed in depth. 

The forum will conclude with a tour of Festo, where participants will gain a practical insight into the applications of bionics at a leading automation technology company.
