Additive Manufacturing

Additive manufacturing involves layer‑by‑layer building of parts from powder, wire or filament using processes such as powder bed fusion, directed energy deposition or FDM. Key aspects are process–structure–property relationships, residual stresses, porosity, microstructure evolution and post‑processing to ensure mechanical integrity and functionality.
