Fundamentals, Processing and Application of Aluminum – Training Course in Bonn

From 29 to 30 October 2024, an advanced training course on aluminum will take place in Bonn. Under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Hirsch (Speira GmbH), participants will receive a comprehensive introduction to the material, industrial semi-finished and product manufacturing and some of its diverse applications.

Due to its low weight and high strength, aluminum is an indispensable material in many advanced applications, from the automotive industry to aerospace. Learn more about this versatile material by taking part in our training course!

In addition to the metallurgical basics, the two-day event will cover questions about the influence of alloying elements on material properties or the materials used in the extrusion process. You will learn about the manufacturing process of aluminum and find out more about corrosion mechanisms and possible applications, e.g. in packaging, printing plates or automotive engineering.

Use our training course to discuss your specific questions with the experts on site and network with specialists. The training is suitable for a broad audience: scientists, technicians and engineers from research and development as well as from quality control or field testing are welcome. The content is also aimed at managers and sales staff with a basic technical understanding who work in this or a related field and would like to benefit from material-oriented further training. The complete training schedule is already available on our website. Book your participation today!

In addition to this event on aluminum, the DGM offers a wide range of training courses and webinars. Find out more on our website.
