The training course "Systematic assessment of technical damage" was held again this year. From October 24 to October 29, 2021, 40 participants took part in the event led by Prof. Dr. Michael Pohl, Ruhr University Bochum, and Prof. Dr. Andreas Ibach, Westfälische Hochschule Bochum. The advanced training in failure analysis continues to focus on the systematic nature of failure analysis and on explaining the material science relationships.
What was learned was applied in practical exercises using real cases of damage as examples. At the same time, the group work served to create a network among the colleagues, which is an indispensable prerequisite for the successful clarification of damage cases, in addition to the acquisition of specialized knowledge in damage analysis.
The next training will take place from 24-29 April 2022 again in Ermatingen (Switzerland).
