The 6^th Bioinspired Materials 2022 - International School and Conference on Biological Materials Science was held in Kostenz (Germany) and online from 21 - 24 March 2022. In the entertaining lecture program, more than 20 lectures and 10 poster presentations on-site alternated with 40 lectures and 19 poster presentations online. The lecture program was rounded out by a poster evening where the more than 135 participants could network with each other, regardless of whether they participated on-site or online. 

The following poster authors were honored with the Poster Award:

1^st place: Teresa Walter, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU)
"Different pitcher plant inspired self-cleaning surfaces as anti-biofouling application"

2^nd place: Waseem Kitana, University of Bayreuth
"4D Biofabrication of T-shaped Bifurcation for Cardiovascular Tissue Engineering (CVTE) Applications"

3^rd place: Liu Yang, TU Berlin
"Hierarchical porosity in sodium silicates: processing routes and properties"

All three poster authors can look forward to a one-year free membership in the DGM. In addition, the best poster was honored with a book voucher of 250 Euro - provided by Wiley-VCH GmbH.
