Meet plenary speaker RNDr. Daria Drozdenko at the 5th International Conference on Light Materials - Science and Technology. RNDr. Drozdenko, Assistant Professor at the Department of Physics of Materials at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University (CUNI) in Prague, is one of the eight plenary speakers at the LightMAT conference. Join her on-site and online for a discussion on "High strength dilute Mg alloys prepared by rapid solidification".
RNDr. Drozdenko, Ph.D. in Physics of Condensed Matter and Materials Research at Charles University, has extensive experience studying magnesium alloys and observing metallic and ceramic materials using state-of-the-art microscopy techniques, including electron microscopy, including Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) and Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX) analyses. Based on her electron microscopy studies of magnesium alloys, RNDr. Drozdenko was awarded the Thermo Fisher and Czechoslovak Microscopy Society (CMCS) Fellowship in 2020 for a working visit to the Magnesium Innovation Centre, Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon. Other expertise: Analysis of plastic deformation of metals by acoustic emission (AE), application of advanced microscopy techniques such as in-situ deformation in SEM chamber and 3D-EBSD.
Since October 2020, RNDr. Drozdenko is also well known in the materials science community as an editor of the Journal of Alloys and Compounds, Elsevier.
RNDr. Drozdenko's motivation is to use her research to contribute to the development of materials for the aerospace industry and alloys for bioimplants that help improve patients' lives.
Look forward to the Plenary Lecture by RNDr. Daria Drozdenko, on 21st June 2023, at LightMAT 2023:
