At the University Group Meeting (HGV) of the Association of German Industrial Engineers (VWI), the university groups convene twice a year, in spring and autumn. Approximately 130 participants from about 40 university groups of the VWI gathered. Additionally, representatives from other partner associations were present: PANDA, ESTIEM, and VDE.

The VWI youth is organized similarly to the Young-DGM. There are groups at various university locations, which are affiliated with one of the five regional groups (university group cooperations) depending on the location of the university group. Additionally, there are student board members and a national team that operate on a national level.

At the start of the first day, everyone was welcomed by the organizing team, professors from Ansbach University of Applied Sciences, and the Mayor of the city of Ansbach. This was followed by icebreaker games around the Orangerie in small groups.

On the second day, there were expert lectures on career and insurance, workshops, and VWI meetings. In these meetings, issues were discussed, and past and future regional activities were presented, such as the KREATI case study competition. In the evening, there was an 80s/90s/2000s themed party.

On Friday, right after the roll call, the DGM's presentation took place. The attendees were informed that they are welcome guests at events of the Young-DGM. Following the presentation, there were more meetings, company presentations, and workshops. In the afternoon, there was also a career fair where the event's sponsors presented themselves as potential employers. The evening program included a visit to a Franconian inn.

Saturday started again with a meeting. After lunch, elections for the VWI student boards and the venues for the next regional events took place. Additionally, the current president of the VWI, Frauke Weichhardt, presented an overview of the VWI with facts and figures. The evening concluded with a gala dinner in the Orangerie Ansbach.

Sunday was marked by a relaxed brunch at the hotel. Afterwards, all participants said their goodbyes and traveled back to their hometowns.

The Young-DGM expresses its gratitude for the opportunity to participate and for the invitation to the next HGV in Hanover!
