The participants were warmly welcomed to a buffet lunch by the host, Alunorf in Neuss, on the first working group day. After the specialist lecture and the company presentation by Alunorf, the members were given a tour of the foundry, the rolling mill and the recycling center.

On the second working group day, the main topics discussed were "Occupational safety and metal level measurement in molds and launders".

A special highlight was the guest lecture by Mr. Jonatan Lindstrand / Precimeter, also on the subject of metal level measurement/control in channels and moulds.

The committee members of the "Working Group Furnace-Independent Moulds - Aluminium" of the Continuous Casting Technical Committee would like to thank Alunorf in Neuss and especially Mr. Philip Meslage for the invitation and the warm hospitality.

2024 is a very special year! The 100^th anniversary meeting will take place in May! Venue: Hueck Extrusions GmbH in Lüdenscheid.
