The winter semester is coming to an end, and we fondly remember the warm welcome we, together with the MWWT student association, extended to the first-year students at Saarland University. During the semester opening, all newcomers received thoughtfully packed goodie bags filled with useful items and gifts from DGM – pens, mint candies, and USB sticks. The goodie bags were not just practical tools but were intended to provide a heartfelt welcome to the first-year students.
However, the DGM's commitment to the students doesn't stop there. We recently released a new study guide. This guide aims to offer prospective students not only guidance but also valuable insights into the world of materials science and engineering.
Furthermore, we are collaborating on other projects with Saarland University. On 23 January 2024, the 12th Regionalforum Saar is coming up, an event intended for students as well. It provides an opportunity to connect with industry professionals, exchange experiences, and gain insights into the current developments in materials science. An event that not only fosters knowledge but also strengthens the bond between students and industry experts. You can register for participation through the Regionalforum website until 19 January 2024.
With this reflection on a warm semester start and exciting prospects for the future, we wish all first-year students a successful end to the winter semester and a pleasant start to the upcoming one! We look forward to continuing our support in the future.
