Biologization of Technology at “Woche der Umwelt” and ACHEMA 2024

In June 2024, there will be two events to learn more about the biologization of technology: “Woche der Umwelt” at Schloss Bellevue, Berlin (4-5 June) and ACHEMA at Messe Frankfurt (June 11).

Sustainability and innovation combined: Nature-inspired technologies offer real opportunities for business and society. BioTrans will be represented at two events next June to talk about them and make the topic tangible:

The Federal President and the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU) are inviting visitors to Schloss Bellevue on 4 and 5 June 2024, where around 190 exhibitors from industry, academia and civil society will present their ideas and impetus for climate, resource and species protection. The exhibitions will be accompanied by an exciting stage program and more than 70 expert forums with top-class players from politics, society, science and business. Everything will revolve around the improvement of "planetary health" and an open and critical discussion will be held on which measures and strategies are suitable for this. BioTrans would also like to take up this challenge and present the potential of bioinspired material solutions together with the Bionic Innovations Center (B-I-C) at Bremen University of Applied Sciences. Visitors to the stand can marvel at a demonstrator with an innovative film system called "Aircoat", which can be used to reduce the friction of ship hulls and thus save several million tons of CO2 per year in the future. More information can be found on the organizer's website.

At this year's ACHEMA, the World Forum and Leading Show for the Process Industries in Frankfurt am Main, BioTrans will explain and discuss the fact that biologized technology could be a real game changer for process engineering, mechanical engineering and co. In an interdisciplinary and international atmosphere with thousands of exhibitors and tens of thousands of visitors, there will be a showcase of technologies that rarely come together in this way. Together with the project management agency VDI Technologiezentrum GmbH, a joint stand will be offered on June 11 from 1 p.m. for a lively exchange of ideas: How can existing systems be transformed with bioinspired materials research? What potential does the biologization of technology hold for value creation and sustainability in industrial companies? Visitors can also find out about the selected projects within the BMBF funding measure.

You are welcome to visit us at our stands! We look forward to your interest.
