Dresden is not only a center of German materials science and engineering. With its more than 2.500 researchers at 19 research institutions, Dresden is also top in international comparison!
Numerous solutions are being developed here for the pressing problems of our time because they all have one thing in common: whether energy, mobility, the environment, safety, or health - progress can only be made with innovations in the field of materials and manufacturing technologies. The rapid progress in this field cannot, of course, be achieved "single-handedly" by individual researchers or institutes.
This is exactly where the DGM Regional Forum Dresden comes in. It sees itself as a central event and communication platform - following the central guiding principle of all regional forums called by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Materialkunde (DGM) e.V. (German Society for Materials Science) throughout Germany. It promotes and consolidates the regular exchange between science and industry and creates stable networks.
