The Young-DGM Rhein-Ruhr was founded in December 2013. The core tasks include, among others, the networking of young scientists as well as the networking of science and industry in the region, the support of scientific young talents in the region through further education, and the exchange of information on the status of scientific work at the biannual meetings. The local group takes care of the participation at and active cooperation with the DGM Regional Panel Rhein-Ruhr with the participation of chairs, institutes, and regional companies and organizes lectures, plant and institute tours, and excursions.
