The participants were warmly welcomed to a buffet lunch by the host, the company Hydro in Lüdenscheid, on the first day. After Hydro's company presentation, the participants were clothed and were given a tour of the foundry.

On the second day of the meeting, the key topics discussed were "Oven snout design and sealing methods".
A special highlight was the guest lecture by Ms. Julika Hoyer (Technical University of Munich). She presented the working group members current research work in the field of continuous composite casting.

The members of the "Working Group of the Expert Committee on Continuous Casting Furnace-Independent Mold - Aluminum" would like to thank the company Hydro in Lüdenscheid and especially Mr. Alexander Otte for the invitation and the warm hospitality.

The next meeting will take place in November 2024 at AMAG casting GmbH in Ranshofen.
