Dive into the world of disordered materials: DisoMAT 2023 is waiting for your participation

The fascinating field of disordered materials science is set to captivate the global community once again, with the 2nd International School and Conference on Disorder in Materials Science, DisoMAT 2023, slated to take place from 19th to 21st June 2023. This unique event invites researchers, scientists, scholars, and students from around the world to participate in a vibrant exchange of knowledge and ideas.

Whether you are an established researcher, an emerging scientist, or a curious student, there's still time to register and be part of this extraordinary event. Remember, the submission deadline for posters and oral presentations is 1st June 2023.

Focus and Themes

The focus of DisoMAT 2023 will be on disordered materials in optics and photonics, reflecting the growing importance of these materials in scientific research and technological applications.

The main topics of the conference include:

- Scattering in disorder materials
- Disordered metamaterials
- Light localization and feedback in disordered media
- Manufacturing of disordered optical materials
- Disordered optical material in nature

Hybrid Conference: On-site in Plankstetten, Germany and Online

In the spirit of accessibility and inclusivity, DisoMAT 2023 will be conducted as a hybrid event, combining on-site activities in Plankstetten, Germany, with online components. Those who can travel are invited to join the on-site conference at the historic Benedictine Abbey of Plankstetten. Founded in 1129, the abbey is a testament to the region's rich cultural history, and attendees will have the opportunity to experience its unique atmosphere first-hand.

For those participating online, the virtual platform will provide ample opportunities to present your work, participate in discussions, and engage with other participants.

Registration and Participation

Whether you plan to attend on-site or virtually, rest assured that your experience will be engaging and interactive. On-site participants will have access to the conference venue, participate in the on-site program, and present their contributions live. Similarly, online participants can present their work live via the virtual platform, interact with other participants in virtual chat rooms, and access all presentations for up to 14 days after the event.

Both on-site and online tickets give you access to the scientific program, the online exhibition, and all submitted PDF abstracts published in an abstract booklet. On-site tickets also include accommodation from Monday 19th to Wednesday 21st June 2023, and a catering package.

DisoMAT 2023 is shaping up to be an event of great scientific and social importance. By bringing together the global scientific community, it aims to advance our understanding of disordered materials and their applications. You can be part of this progressive discourse by registering and submitting your work to this conference. Don't miss this opportunity to be part of the DisoMAT 2023 experience. Register now and embark on this journey of exploration and discovery.
