One of the main tasks of the Coordination Working Group is the preparation of the annual metallography conferences, in particular the selection of the conference venues. In this context, the Working Group pays attention to the promotion of young scientists and their involvement in the conference events. The work of the Working Groups of the Expert Committee is supported by the Coordination Working Group. One focus is the Working Group Education, which is concerned with the education of materialographers. The further development of the Working Groups in the Expert Committee Materialography is actively accompanied by the Working Group Coordination. New Working Groups are founded depending on the development of the field.
