The first regional Working Group was established in the Stuttgart area as early as 1968. Over many years, numerous other Working Groups were founded. In the meantime, there are 11 regional Working Groups throughout Germany, which are led with great commitment and dedication.

In addition to technical presentations followed by discussions, demonstrations of new equipment or preparation techniques, company or laboratory visits, the main focus is on the personal exchange of ideas. The meetings are offered free of charge several times a year and have meanwhile met with lively interest, as evidenced by the membership figures. In addition to the technical exchange of ideas, friendly encounters are not neglected. In the meantime, two full-day events of the regional Working Groups Aachen (MetPräp) and Rhine-Ruhr / gmr² (MikPräp) have been established.
